Fly the Flag
#Flag50
Fifty years ago the red-and-white Maple Leaf design became Canada's new national flag. As Canadians we are proud to fly the flag, adorn our clothes, backpacks and anything else we can find with the iconic maple leaf. Many people I know, including family members, have tattoos of the maple leaf. My brother even dressed up as the Canadian flag one year for Halloween.

I am taking part in a weekly challenge this year and the theme this week is WIND. I wanted to shoot the flag for it's 50th anniversary and it was super windy yesterday so I captured this image for the week.

on February 21, 2015I somehow thought the Maple Leaf flag design was as old as the country of Canada. But then, the USA flag has kept evolving over the years. Great example of the theme, wind.
