Elk Island National Park, Alberta
* On Saturday we went to spend the day/night out at our trailer at Elk Island Retreat. Spring fever got the better of us!! With temperatures around 10 degress Celsius during the day and 1 degree overnight, it was not that bad at all. In fact, I even got a bit of a sunburn on my face :) We had such a great day on Saturday, with many new birds starting to arrive I was busy shooting ALL day. We went to Elk Island National Park later in the day in search of some wildlife and a possible sunset. On our travels we noticed a beaver having an evening snack. This was a first! We have never actually seen any beavers in the park. We have seen the evidence of their existence but have never seen one until this time. And we saw seven, all in one small area! It was amazing!
I was lucky to get so many great images in one day. I will be playing catch-up now :)
